Its Time for
The Second Coming
Taking a second look at your sexual health
Next Event: TBA
What is “The Second Coming”?
Sexuality is an ongoing, evolving part of us. It begins at birth and ends with death. It never stops. Sometimes we don’t give it our attention and sometimes we do. Occasionally, we don’t understand why we feel what we feel and that can be scary. Sexual feelings or the lack of them can even be distressing, and we question if we are ‘normal’. As we age, our sexual needs and desires change BUT they don’t stop.
The Second Coming is an opportunity to hear that we are all deviants – that is – we all deviate from the norm or the centre of the curve when it comes to sexuality. We will discuss how life changes our sexual health and our sexual function. Most importantly, we will focus on adapting to these changes as we express our sexual identity in the later years of life.
Meet Your Sexuality Guide,
Dr Lisa Zaretzky, Doctor of Pharmacy
Dr. Lisa Zaretzky is a Doctor of Pharmacy with a specialized interest in wellness, sexual health, travel health, pain management, weight loss coaching, mental health, and chronic disease prevention and management.
Through my 3 decades of person focused care, I have realized that feeling well is complex and fluid, and that each part of us contributes to our health - sexual health being equally as important as heart health. Once I started my academic training in sexual health, I was pleased to see that the governing bodies in health, like the World Health Organization, also agree:
Good Health = Good Sexual Health
I am pleased to have received my Certification in Sexual Health through the University of Alberta, Canada - April 2024. AND, I’m not finished yet….there is so much more to learn and ways to help others improve their sexuality. I will be undertaking further studies in this next year with The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
